Sid dH (AB) • 2009-11-05 13:47:53
Cultivating a PLN, much like cultivating a garden, sometimes involves tilling under unproductive plants!

ccampbel14 (AB) • 2009-11-05 13:48:15
How do we help unproductive plants become productive?

Sid dH (AB) • 2009-11-05 13:48:47

EducatorDave (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:11:31

Rob (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:12:41

Sid dH (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:17:30
Fear paralyzes. Education liberates!

Sonia (ca) • 2009-11-05 14:20:15
We have schoolzone so why would we need ning?

Sid dH (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:23:16
Ning allows you to extend beyond epsb. Schoolzone only includes epsb employees.

Rob (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:25:19
agreed. education is liberating. adding technologies that kids are using as tools to help us reach them is important

Rob (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:28:03
it's finding a balance

Sonia (ca) • 2009-11-05 14:28:56

ccampbel14 (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:46:17
Tons of information on how to mine for information...I'm exhausted.

Rob (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:47:33
rss feeds look useful though, I have always wondered what those were exactly

ccampbel14 (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:48:13
I have used RSS feeds but nearly as effectively as he is showing us today.

ccampbel14 (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:48:24
I meant "not as"

Rob (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:48:59

Sid dH (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:50:20

they are living on borrowed time

Rob (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:52:28

Rob (AB) • 2009-11-05 14:58:53
good advice. finding 10 - 15 minutes a day to learn these technologies would be fairly easy to do

ccampbel14 (AB) • 2009-11-05 15:04:53
I believe we need to make this commitment to stay current in our profession.

Sid dH (AB) • 2009-11-05 16:24:33
Why does it always reduce down to the test scores?

Sid dH (AB) • 2009-11-05 16:25:25
When will the spectre of standardized testing quit haunting our practice?
